SPORTING & WILDLIFE FINE ART
From his youth, Mr. Chinelli possessed an intense passion for both art and wildlife. Born in New York City in 1949, he vividly remembers moving to the then rural northeast Bronx, a major wetlands area 60 years ago. Trained in classical fine art techniques, his work brings together the love for hunting and fishing with that of drawing and painting. Paul has illustrated for many newspapers and magazines as well as designed over 125 postal stamps for 10 foreign countries. Currently specializing in commissioned life-sized portraits of sporting dogs and horses, he now lives with his family in Columbia county and works from a studio overlooking the Catskill Mountains.
