Whistle Pik Galleries opened in Fredericksburg, Texas in 1995. After 17 years as a Wildlife Biologist, Tim Taylor left his job as an assistant coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Partners for Wildlife Program. With a PhD in Wildlife Ecology and a Master of Science degree in Range and Wildlife Science. Tim and his wife Pamela believed a fine art gallery representing nationally known artists would thrive in the Texas Hill Country. Whistle Pik was not the first art gallery in Fredericksburg, but it was the first to represent nationally recognized artists. Without an ounce of business acumen, Tim and Pamela’s determination for sincere relationships and integrity soon paid off.
After 22 years of operating the gallery from the original Main Street location, Whistle Pik has moved, and is now representing a small number of artists through their website. The gallery has represented over 200 of America’s most loved artists from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and sold over 5,750 pieces of original art and even more limited edition graphics. Tim continues to work with the thousands of collector friends he has met over the years. Now recognized by most galleries, appraisers, and auction houses as the leading authority for G. Harvey’s original works, he continues to sell and consult some of the finest art in America to some of the finest collectors.
