Being an avid lover of the outdoors and a self taught artist has combined to create a great career as a Wildlife Artist for Broderick Crawford.
Broderick was born and raised in the small southern Appalachian town of Tiger, Georgia. A lifelong resident, he has found no whereelse more beautiful than the North Georgia Mountains to call home.
He enjoys painting just about anything to do with nature, wildlife and sporting art. He along with his wife enjoy every moment outside in nature that time allows. They both find every form of life from the ground to the sky exhilarating to their soul. Broderick strives in his effort to share nature with others through his paintings. One can tell he has been successful in his endeavor by all his accomplishments. While painting for a career and competitions, he is also quick to use his talents to help support many conservation groups.
He competes annually in the Federal Duck Stamp contest. He has placed as high as 4th and 7th in recent years. So far in 2018 he placed second in the California Upland Game bird competition and 2nd in the North Carolina Duck Stamp competition. He also has a 1st place win for 2018 in the Iowa Duck Stamp competition for the 2019/2020 stamp. In February Broderick enjoyed his 10th year at the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC. Along with painting, he is also an avid and award winning carver. He enjoys carving all species of waterfowl, shore birds and song birds. Still his most favorite accomplishment was winning the Trout Unlimited design for the state of Georgia car tags. The design has been so successful for the state. The monies have helped fund so much for Georgia DNR in their efforts for conservation and trout stocking.
